The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force(JMSDF) 2nd Service School (Establishment: April 1, 1958) is situated in Taura(port of Nagaura) Yokosuka.

Here, operation training of the gas turbine mainly carried in the naval fleets, computer education, and English education are performed

The old navy reference data room (Establishment: May 30, 1965) is situated in the fourth floor of a main building, and the precious elegances of the old navy connection are exhibited. It is said that the number of exhibition storage is about 5800 items.
