Oversized garbage/garbage that cannot be crushed

Examples of what can be issued and points to note.

Furniture whose longest
side is approximately 50 cm or
more and 2 m or less

e.g. chest of drawers,

Electrical appliances whose
longest side is
approximately 50cm or
more and 2m or less


e.g. vacuum cleaners,
humidifiers, etc.

Electrical appliances whose
longest side is less than 50cm can
be disposed of as
"non-burnable garbage"

Garbage that cannot be
shredded


e.g. products using rechargeable
batteries, bowling balls, etc.

Products that use rechargeable batteries
and are large enough to fit into the
slot of
the "Used Small Home Appliance
Collection Box" can be thrown in.

  • Garbage over 2m cannot be disposed of by the city.
  • Items that are subject to the Home Appliance Recycling Law, such as televisions, and computers
  • cannot be returned.
  • Products containing fluorocarbons cannot be disposed of by the city.

How to dispose

  1. Transport by yourself ▶Please bring it to the Yokosuka garbage processing facility "Ecomill"
  2. Door-to-door collection

Regarding payment (as of October 2020)

Payment notices will be mailed after the 15th of the month following collection.
Please pay at the designated location.

  • Place of payment : City Hall Accounting Division/Each Administrative
    Center/Yakushoya/Financial institution designated by the City
  • Fees: Spring coil mattresses・・・4,300 yen per piece
    Other bulky waste/unshredable garbage・・・520 yen per piece or set

Put out

  • Please put out your garbage at the location you confirmed at the time of application by 8:00 a.m. on the
    collection day.
    Collection staff will not enter your home or garden.
  • For LINE/WEB:
    ① Application number ② Write down the item on
    the paper and attach it to the item to be disposed of.*You can also use the form downloaded from the URL of the application completion email with the necessary information filled out.
  • By phone
    Please put a piece of paper with
