Temporary Special Benefit for Households Newly Exempt from Resident Tax for the 2024 Fiscal Year (100,000 yen)
Only households that were newly exempt from resident tax or were newly only subject to resident tax per capita in the 2024 fiscal year are eligible to receive this benefit.
Notifications are being mailed out beginning on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Who is Eligible to Apply
Households who meet all of the following criteria are eligible:
- The household was not eligible for any benefits during the 2023 fiscal year.
- The household has not received the same benefit from another city.
- The household has their residence registered in Yokosuka as of June 3, 2024.
- Every member of the household was either “not subject to resident tax” or “subject only to resident tax per capita” for the 2024 fiscal year.
- No one in the household is a dependent of someone who is subject to residence tax.
- No one in the household reported exemption from resident tax for the fiscal year 2024 due to a tax treaty.
You will receive either a notification postcard or a notification envelope of application documents. If you receive a postcard, you are already confirmed to receive the benefit and do not need to apply. Those who receive an envelope will need to apply in order to receive the benefit.
Benefit Amount
100,000 yen per household. Households with children born on or after April 2, 2006, are eligible to receive an additional 50,000 yen per child.
Deadline
The application must be postmarked by Thursday, October 31, 2024

Come to the Temporary Special Benefit Help Desk[臨時特別給付金窓口] on the first floor of City Hall, by the Accounting Division. Available weekdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Please bring your envelope of application documents and your bankbook.
